- Program Description
Floral arrangements from the winter garden, created by Patricia Thorpe. Featured in the Victory Garden Holiday Special 1999, Show #2421.
Arrangement 1 (near doorway):
Fresh alstroemeria is added to a dried arrangement that features red ozier dogwood branches and flat eucalyptus.
Arrangement 2 (on mantel):
Larch branches (with cones still clinging) are touched lightly with a golden spray paint to give them a "gilded" look; they're then combined with fresh evergreen branches and plain white anemones.
Arrangement 3 (for sideboard):
Euonymus branches are combined with cedar for evergreen color; rose hips (careful with those thorns!), climbing hydrangea, epimedium (a popular ground cover), white anemones and pomegranates complete this structural arrangement.
