- Series Description
Hosted by Eric Sevareid. ENTERPRISE's pioneering use of the "case study" approach to business documents high level decisions as they are taking place in the executive boardrooms. ENTERPRISE deliberately shows decision making processes as they occur. Business is treated as a human endeavor rather than an economic phenomenon. It goes beyond the statistics and charts to show real people making critical decisions and then bearing the consequences. ENTERPRISE benefits from the expertise of the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (as Harvard professors act as advisors to each program.) Ex Prod: Zvi Dor-Ner / Each individual episode has different producer Series release date: 10/1981
- Program Description
Hosted by Eric Sevareid. As the world's nonrenewable energy resources shrink, competition for those resources increases. EP examines the risky and expensive business of bidding on oil leases by profiling Sun Company as it prepares to bid on tracts off the southern Californian coast. Contrary to the popular image of oil companies as cold corporate entities EP demonstrates that this lofty level business and finance often boils down to individual personalities, compromise and courage to take the big gamble. Program ends at a federal auction in CA when sealed bids are opened.
