City Union Power Now with Nick French
Program Description

A review of how government and labor union representatives negotiate contracts and avoid strikes, including a recent history of negotiations and strikes in New York City and Boston. Alternatives and improvements to the current negotiation process are suggested. The review includes photographic montages, a dramatic reenactment of hypothetical negotiations between representatives of government and the labor union of “Metropolis”. Also contains interviews and a panel discussion with John Church, Regional Director of the American Arbitration Association, and Professor Harvey L. Friedman of the University Of Massachusetts.
