“The Compass Weekly” aired each Tuesday for a minimum of one hour. It was devoted to a single news topic covered in depth, with commentary and review of coverage elsewhere.

From promotional newspaper description: "Former Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox was there a year ago in October when President Nixon fired him in the celebrated 'Saturday Night Massacre' .. and former Special Counsel James St. Clair was there as the final events of Watergate unfolded leading to President Nixon's resignation. Both men have special viewpoints on what--if anything--we should have learned from the past twelve months."
