Program Description

This program investigates the one federal agency that is arguably the most resistant to reform - the Department of Agriculture. Focusing on excesses, abuse and mismanagement in the USDA's massive crop subsidy programs, the program examines how Congressional power has stymied a generation of agriculture secretaries, Republicans and Democrats alike, who have tried to reform the agency's bloated and outdated bureaucracy.
