- Program Description
The familiar tree takes on a new dimension in this experiment that uses inventive, highly unusual television techniques to explore the many ways trees are involved with people. The segments last from 45 seconds to two minutes. From June 9-15, 1969 they aired individually as breaks between regularly scheduled programs and then on June 16 they were aired together as a whole. Directed by Fred Barzyk for WGBH and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as part of the "museum without walls" movement popular in the 1970's.
