Hosted by LeVar Burton - three eight minute films per half hour program. Each film about a kid from different parts of the country, ethnic groups, interests. Second season had two films per half hour. Aimed for audience ages 9-13. Featured the languages, families and achievements of minority kids across the country. Series release date: 9/1976
- Program Description
Barry and Johnny. Barry is Black and lives in Roxbury. Johnny is White and lives in Newton. Seven months have passed since they left the Kennedy School For The Handicapped where they both became close friends. Not having seen each other during this time, they ask to see each other again. Their request is granted and Rebop brings the two boys together again.
Andre and Jose. Andre and Jose are friends. Andre is Afro-American and 15. Jose is Cape Verdean and 17. Andre plays league hockey for the only Black hockey team in Boston. Jose plays soccer and coaches a younger team. After a discussion as to which sport requires the greater skill, Andre and some of his hockey teammates decide to try soccer and Jose gets on skates for the first time.
