Program Description

When Cadfael's clumsy but much-beloved novice, Oswin, is found near death and babbling that he has raped a nun, a search of the surrounding snowy countryside goes out from the Abbey to find Oswin's traveling companions - a young brother and sister, and a young nun. The two children are found shaken but unharmed, while the nun is found dead at the bottom of a frozen brook - ravished and abandoned. The monks of Shrewsbury Abbey believe Oswin is the murderer, but Cadfael is determined to clear his name.
