Hosted by LeVar Burton - three eight minute films per half hour program. Each film about a kid from different parts of the country, ethnic groups, interests. Second season had two films per half hour. Aimed for audience ages 9-13. Featured the languages, families and achievements of minority kids across the country. Series release date: 9/1976
- Program Description
Kiki: Boston, Massachusetts: Kiki has had asthma for about 5 years, but still manages to be very active in dance and other activities.
Greg: Boston, Massachusetts: The experience and thoughts of a young man as he is confronted with the emotional crisis of South Boston and how this effects an awareness of his own nature.
Tara Medicine: Cambridge, Massachusetts: Tara, a Native American (Seneca), is adjusting to a new family- a stepfather and his children- and a new town. She’s from New York State and now lives in Cambridge. She is also adjusting to an often hostile society.
