Gardening program hosted by Jim Wilson and joined by Bob Smaus, Roger Swain, Lucinda Mays and Peter Seabrook as international travel correspondent. Series chef is Marion Morash. Special correspondent is Holly Shimizu. The Boston-based Victory Garden (w/ Roger Swain) is located at a private residence; Victory Garden South is at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia; Victory Garden West is at Roger's Garden Center in Corona del Mar, California. Roger Swain announces the 12th annual Victory Garden contest, calling for small-scale landscaping entries that use water as a garden element. Roger plants parsnips in the suburban garden while Peter Seabrook visits Wisley, the garden for the Royal Horticulture Society for tips on growing award winning parsnips. Garden Designer Barbara Damrosch shares her impressions of Ameriflora '92, focusing on the many international exhibitors, including Great Britain, Japan, Russia and Monaco.
