Program Description

In "Citizen Kane," a thinly veiled portrait of one of the most powerful men in America, Orson Welles -- brash, young and a newcomer to Hollywood -- took on mighty newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. The influential publisher marshaled all his resources to suppress Welles' masterpiece. Richard Ben Cramer narrates.
