Hosted by LeVar Burton - three eight minute films per half hour program. Each film about a kid from different parts of the country, ethnic groups, interests. Second season had two films per half hour. Aimed for audience ages 9-13. Featured the languages, families and achievements of minority kids across the country. Series release date: 9/1976
- Program Description
Paul. Paul an aspiring actor, is the doorman at the Colonial Theatre in Boston. He attends South Boston High School, where he helps his teacher give drama classes. He is a member of a multi ethnic touring company called the Theatre Company of Boston. We watch them in a rehearsal of “Class” - a play about being in high school.
Felton Sealey. Felton is a young high school basketball star. He talks about growing up in a housing project, how it was and how it is now. “People say that Columbia is a bad place to live, but I’m proud to live in Columbia Point.”
