Special correspondent is Holly Shimizu. The Boston-based Victory Garden (w/ Roger Swain) is located at a private residence; Victory Garden South is at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia; Victory Garden West is at Roger's Garden Center in Corona del Mar, California. Theme: Garden chores This week, The Victory Garden tackles the everyday chores that keep the garden growing. Host Michael Weishan will share tips about lilacs, including reviving under-performing shrubs, and lilac care; gardener Kip Anderson will demonstrate how to direct sow seeds into the vegetable garden; garden correspondent Paul Epsom is on hand to help give your back a break when he shares some tools that manage the heavy loads in garden; and finally, Chef Michael Schlow joins Michael to whip up a delicious dish: slow-roasted salmon with "melted" cabbage.
