Allston resident Elisabeth Schneider and others are witholding rent in protest of poor maintenance and unpaid taxes and utility bills. Jenny Gill, a member of the Allston/Brighton Community Development Corporation discusses impacts of the 1980s "condo conversion boom" in Allston/Brighton and the Fenway, and urges community activists to purchase distressed condos and turn them back into affordable rental housing.
