- AIDS Research: The Story So Far
- Program Description
This program chronicles the 12-year search for a treatment, vaccine and cure for AIDS; and chronicles and explains the advances, setbacks and continuing challenges in the battle against this deadly disease. The program also features "resisters"--people who have been exposed to or infected with the AIDS virus, but who remain healthy. Scientists believe this natural resistance may provide the key to discovering a vaccine or cure.
