- News At Ten
- Series Description
Broadcast from May 1966 through April 1967
On Monday May 2 (1966) Channel 2 will inaugurate a program designed to give viewers a better understanding of the people and events that make news, especially local news.
News at 10 will be aired each week night for a half hour. National and international news will get attention but the program intends to concentrate on news of the region served by WGBH because the station feels that this is the area of news in which television audiences now get the least service.
Format of the new program will be varied, even experimental. Stories by WGBH's own reporters will alternate with interviews, with commentary and with short film documentaries.
Louis Lyons will continue to present his view of the news each weeknight at 6:30.
