Six Days In June
Program Description

Also airs on Tuesday, June 12 at 9pm on WGBH 2

Forty years ago in June, a war pitted the Israelis against the Arabs and the US against the Soviet Union. It lasted only six days, but it changed the Middle East and America’s policy toward it. The war’s results are embodied in every aspect of the bloody Middle East conflict. Six Days in June tells the story of that war. This groundbreaking documentary brings to life the war’s battlefields, politics, strategy, and the many lives it affected.

Based on new research and newly declassified documents, this program chronicles the Six Day War between Israel and its Arab neighbors in 1967 and explores how those events shaped the contemporary Middle East.
