Program Description

Program is comprised of Holt; Rinehart; and Winston 45 minute black and white film “The World Of Enrico Fermi,” (A documentary which portrays the life and work of the nearly contemporary physicist, Enrico Fermi, whose work helped to transform not only physics and the style of doing research, but even the course of history itself); produced by the Visual Education Centre, Toronto, Canada for Harvard University. The remaining 15 minutes is comprised of an in-studio panel discussing Fermi’s importance to the field of Physics. Panel is hosted by Professor Gerald Holton, Harvard University; Professor Bruno Rossi, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT); and Barbara Bach, Ph.D. Physics student, Harvard University. Panel segment is produced by WGBH, in color. 1970.
