- Program Description
Mortgage-lending discrimination remains a systemic problem in America's financial institutions. Peter and Dolores Green, African-American professionals, are suing a Chicago-area bank for refusing to finance their purchase of the home they have lived in for 30 years. Frontline, in co-production with the Center for Investigative Reporting, examines how the discriminatory lending patterns of a generation ago still persist, and documents their devastating effects on racially mixed neighborhoods fighting for economic survival.
