Classic French onion soup, bubbling under a blanket of melted cheese, is a treat any time of year and is especially comforting on a chilly night. At dessert time, dazzle your guests with your chafing dish talents and prepare Vesuvial Bananas, which are cooked in orange butter and flamed with rum.
