Cyber TV
Program Description

Hosted by veteran journalist Chuck Kraemer (of WCVB, Ch. 5 TV in Boston) and computer visionary Mitch Kapor, this special is a window on the new world of computer-based communication that is changing the way people work and live. In its pilot program, the two hosts take viewers on a guided tour of the Internet, demonstrating its capabilities as a research tool, teleconferencing link and plaything. Kraemer combines his own brand of humor to make the "spacey" world of the Internet understandable to newcomers, while Kapor pays a real world visit to New York City to meet a group of people who inhabit a new "virtual" community known as "ECHO."
