- Taste of Norway with Julia Child, A
- Program Description
The inimitable Julia Child leads a culinary trip through Norway - a voyage that combines breathtaking scenery, gourmet meals, well-known landmarks and plenty of salmon. She begins her trip in Oslo, where she visits tourist sites and ends up appearing as a guest chef on a Norwegian cooking show, preparing butterflied salmon steaks. She also visits the headquarters of the state-run liquor monopoly, tours a factory where the world-famous Norwegian liqueur Aquivit is painstakingly brewed, and tries her hand at fly-fishing. Throughout her visit, Julia proves to be a canny and candid traveling host, whose observations on culture are every bit as acute as her observations on cuisine.
