Program Description

Dr. Kenneth Clark interviews Dr. Robert Coles, Research Psychiatrist, Harvard University, about his work studying poor white people. Topics discussed include: parallels between poor whites and blacks, in general, who feel equally disenfranchised; brief mention of school desegregation in Boston; health issues faced by poor whites; and the importance of, and legacies of, Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, both of whom had been assassinated the prior year.
