- Program Description
“By the end of 1941 Hitler was at the zenith of power, his lightning thrusts carrying his conquering hordes to an imperial strength that rivaled Napoleon’s. But virtually every dictator eventually overreaches and Hitler fell victim to this fatal temptation. His blitz on England was thwarted by the gallantry of the RAF, his attack on Russia bled his armies to death, and his declaration of war on the United States brought into the struggle the matchless resources of the world’s wealthy nations. These were three fatal miscalculations that ultimately brought down his Reich, and ended his dream of conquest in an air raid bunker in Berlin.”
