- Series Description
Sampler pilot filmed at the Wayside Inn for a cooking series featuring Julia Child and James Beard, the "Dean of American Cooking." The original concept was for (13) programs to be made, each program would showcase the preparation of two culinary dishes associated with each of the original (13) American Colonies. In the pilot Child and Beard show a turkey and chowder cooking on an open fire; later they grind corn meal, which they use in the preparation of Indian Pudding. Shot 10/7/1975, the series was never produced.
