Program Description

This new murder mystery from Minette Walters, best-selling author of "The Sculptress," centers around Phoebe Maybury (Penny Downie), whose husband disappeared 10 years earlier. When no body was found, the police were forced to abandon their inquiry and Phoebe's suspected involvement. In the intervening years, she has rebuilt her life with her friends Anne Cattrell (Kitty Aldridge) and Diana Goode (Frances Barber). When a mutilated corpse -- believed to be Maybury -- is found in the abandoned ice house on the grounds of their home, the murder investigation resumes. Chief Inspector George Walsh (Corin Redgrave), who was assigned to the case a decade before, is convinced he has Phoebe this time; his assistant Andy McLoughlin (Daniel Craig) isn't so sure.
