James is back from India with a fiancee who reveals her middle class, Army, colonial background by ordering Hudson around as though he were an Indian houseboy. As King Edward lies dying and the Edwardian era with it, the new order is heralded by the arrival of Thomas and Sarah -- at the front door -- to wish Lady Marjorie a happy birthday.
