Note to You, A; Saxophone, The

07/18/1999

Did you know that it started out as a conert instrument in the 1850’s? A century later, it came popular for jazz and dance bands. And today when we think of the saxophone, we most often associate it with jazz and popular music. But there’s more to it than we think, according to today’s guest, saxophonist William Street. He’ll talk with Virginia Eskin about the saxophone in its concert setting and share some beautiful music today on ANTY.
