Note to You, A; Scarlatti Family, The

05/07/2000

As master of the Viceroy’s chapel in late 17th century Naples, Alessandro Scarlatti spent a great deal of time making music for the church. But he also found time to write more than 100 operas. His son Domenico Scarlatti was no less prolific, composing more than 500 works for solo keyboard. Virginia Eskin takes a look at this family of overachievers today on ANTY.
